About Me

Hi! I'm Krissy and this is my little boy, Kz. This blog is my attempt to make sense of this crazy new world of motherhood. Having worked as an early childhood educator for seven years, I really thought I had this in the bag. While I always knew I would love being a mother, I never expected it to be so, well...hard. I have found that really embracing being a stay at home mom means looking for inspiration and getting creative to keep things fresh and interesting.

I like to think of myself as a co-learner with Kz. We play together and interact with one another while exploring new materials and mediums. I find that playtime becomes a lot more fun when we are both active and enthusiastic participants. Many of the ideas in this blog are borrowed. Some are my own. But all of them are unique in how Kz responds to them. Every child is different and it is fun figuring out what works and doesn't work for him (or for me!).

I am so very lucky to be able to spend each day at home with Kz and document our life together. I look forward to one day looking back at these posts and remembering all the fun we've had. I hope that this blog will help other new moms play with their children, get interested in the learning that takes place every moment, and get involved in creating new and exciting experiences to share with their little one(s). I also hope some seasoned moms will teach me a few things along the way.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know us. We are excited to share our fun with you!

Love,
Krissy and Kz
